A Not-So-Cliché Valentine’s Day

| Category: Foreign Language | |

The folks at Radio Lingua (whose foreign language podcasts we’ve promoted on previous occasions) shot us a quick note today, which seemed worth posting in full. Why? Because it will give you a chance to be something other than predictable and cliché on Valentine’s Day. And they’ll help you look pretty clever.

Here it goes:

"We are the people who bring you Coffee Break Spanish… and we’ve just launched a new podcast - something a bit light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek to celebrate St Valentine’s Day this week: Love Lingo teaches listeners ‘the language of love’ in five different languages, one a day for the next five days:

Monday 12 Feb - French
Tuesday 13 Feb - Italian
Wednesday 14 Feb - Spanish
Thursday 15 Feb - German
Friday 16 Feb - Norwegian

It’s all fairly tame, so perfectly ok for teachers - it doesn’t go further than ‘you have beautiful eyes’ and ‘would you like to dance’! But hopefully it’s useful and good fun at the same time."

NOTE: Monday’s French edition can be downloaded directly via MP3. Otherwise keep your eye on iTunes and this feed, which should make podcasts available throughout the week.
